BHS Level 4 Complete Coach

My passion as a coach/trainer comes from a lifelong obsession with horses which began from an early age.

The early foundations began at the age of 8 years old, whereby my mother would take me along for a weekly riding lesson, my favourite day of the week!

I was fortunate that my mum loved the horses too, and at the age of 11 she purchased my first pony Cream Soda, fulfilling my dreams. My whole family rode, and my older brother would serve for the Kings Troop in the years to come. I would enjoy all equestrian activities, and would hack to the local shows enjoying everything on offer, particularly showjumping, and XC, and was forever coming home with rosettes.

I also competed at county level in working hunter classes when a local trainer approached my mother asking her if I could jockey one of her 14.2hh horses, this gave me a wealth of experience and also led on to me enjoying dressage.

Growing up, despite my mother suggesting I train as an instructor, I convinced her I preferred to keep my hobby separate, and would  head off to work in an office as a shorthand secretary.

However, in the years to come, I would find myself  helping others, where I was recommended continually for my natural infinity with the horse.  My instincts to read horses would not go unnoticed and the requests would keep coming, leading to many satisfied and fulfilled partnerships between horse and rider.  I realised this was my true calling, and enlisted in the British Horse Society to train, gaining the relevant qualifications for recognition.

I compete in BS and BD, though currently for clients. I further developed my own skills and continue to do so, believing we continually learn from day to day,  I take satisfaction in helping others to explore their own potential and like to promote positive growth in those around me.

I regularly host camps and clinics. View upcoming events here, or get in touch with me directly to book a lesson or clinic: 07950 446406
